​This Lorenzo acoustic has been played regularly for the past 15 years & was showing its age. The frets were heavily worn & the fretboard had deep divots in it.
Some extensive repairs were needed.
After removing all the frets & straightening the neck (using the truss rod) the fretboard was sanded with a levelling beam until the divots & wear was removed. Then fret wire matching the original frets was installed, levelled, crowned & polished, the ends dressed to a buttery smooth roundness.
A new, handcrafted, bone nut was made & fitted, a new bone saddle installed & the action was lowered slightly.
The finished guitar looks almost new & plays & sounds better than ever!
